The Oklahoma Flute Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote flute study and performance, to encourage camaraderie among flutists, and to encourage the highest standards of teaching and performance.

A​​nnual OFS Solo and Ensemble Festival on Sunday, February 16th from 12-6 pm at Oklahoma City University.​​​​

 

We are so excited to announce that Amanda Harberg has delivered our piccolo commission “And Dream of Clouds” in memory of Feodora Steward.  

John L. Edwards and pianist Sam Magrill will perform the premiere at the OFS Flute Fair Gala Concert on March 29, 2025 at 2:15 p.m. in the Radke Recital Hall in the Center for Transformative Learning on the University of Central Oklahoma campus.  John will be performing on Ms. Steward’s piccolo, made especially for her by Verne Q. Powell in 1953.

Donations are still being accepted for this commission.  Donors of $25 and more will be acknowledged in the Flute Fair program; donors of $50 and more will be acknowledged in the publication and will receive a pre-publication copy.  Please make your donation by March 1, 2025 to receive acknowledgement.​

Feodora Steward touched many lives through her performances and teaching.  We hope you can join us for this special tribute!

This year's Members Recital will be held Sunday, April 6th at 4PM.  Sign up early to perform your jury piece, solo or small ensemble!
